Water Colours Project

I’m working on a new project – a project I call “Water Colours”.  I may do another one with a different take on it (say sunsets, alpine lakes, the list goes on) in the future.  But this one is kind of an abstract version.  Some of them are reflections, others are just the color of the water.  This has kind of been a project I’ve had on the back of my mind for the last 10 years.  So whenever I’m out with my camera around water I think about taking some, the earliest photo in this collection is from April 2006.

This is my first pass at selecting the images for this collection, I may add some more as the project moves along.  It’s unlikely I’ll shoot any more, I should have enough content to do this.  The plan is to make an 8×10 book out of this water colours collection (that’s 10 inches high by 8 wide) and print each image across the gutter – taking up the full spread.  How many pages I do not know at this time, but I am not thinking too small either.

I’ve posted this so that I can get some feedback on the project and the images I have selected, and also for myself to review and think about over the next while.  I’ve already uploaded the images and I think there are already some that may not fit.  Remember the goal is more of an abstract one…  and also that these photos are not yet fully edited for publication. Some may need more editing than others!
