Joffre Lakes

Joffre Lakes is another place I have been to multiple times.  And if you haven’t been there, what are you waiting for?  This is one of the top 10 hikes in BC for a reason.  It’s about 3 hours drive from Vancouver so not that far away either.  I usually don’t go there and return the same day…  though Tena and I did that and it was a very long day!

It’s not really that hard of a hike, but please bring proper footwear – I’ve run into a few people up there struggling with flip flops.  The hike itself is 5.5km long and 400m of elevation gain.  Most of it is not that hard, but there is a large boulder field that is hard if you have short legs, and there is about a 30 minute section just before the second lake that was quite steep and difficult.

Anyhow here is a collection of a few photos from various times up there, once we even spent the night up there.  There’s so many more pictures I could post but these are the ones I moved over from my old web site.
